Elizabeth Sneed

Curvy Surfer Girl/Cameo as Herself

Elizabeth Sneed is the founder and visionary behind Curvy Surfer Girl, a pioneering movement and global community dedicated to body diversity, body positivity, and greater representation in women’s surfing.
Originally from Arizona, Sneed moved to Oahu in 2017 and discovered a deep connection to surfing. As she became more immersed in the sport, she recognized a striking lack of representation for women whose bodies did not fit the traditional image of the female surfer.

In 2020, she launched Curvy Surfer Girl, sharing her own journey in the water and creating a space where women of all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds could see themselves represented in surfing. (

What began as an Instagram account quickly grew into an international movement. Sneed has worked to challenge long-standing assumptions within surf culture while encouraging women to get in the water, embrace their bodies, and pursue their own dreams with confidence. She has also collaborated with surf and swimwear brands to advocate for more inclusive products and representation, helping push the industry toward a more diverse vision of the modern surfer. (
